Well this may be off topic on the stands you are looking at there.
I purchased an Aqueon Classic Mission series in Cherry for my 90 gallon. It was expensive but the stand is very well made, the canopy folds outward and up so the whole front is open. The canopy is extremely heavy also. I have not looked back and never thought twice about what I paid vs the quality I got. Many of the stands in our LFS are oak, some pine but in my opinion they are junk. You truely get what you pay for. If you can afford a nice stand go for it, you wont be dissapointed :good:

I had a look at these tanks and stands a couple of weeks ago. I find a lot of the stands (even the modern ones) look pretty awful and dated, and know that the laminate is going to be damaged...

These look pretty good. The oak looks to be of good quality all round, and the build standards are in line with most of the Far East imported furniture. Perhaps more expensive than any other oak furniture I have bought of the same size and quality, but these are far more specialist. I think with good care of the wood they will last a long time.

My one concern was water collecting under or around the tank and causing damage.
