I have a healthy aquarium and have just bought 6 neon tetras but was warned that they had been in soft water....
Do I need to turn my water softer? and if so how do i without affecting the rest of the less softer fish?

Hey Edward66.

If the Neon Tetras are already in your own water and are fine then they should be ok in harder water. If they are still in their "soft" water then you should slowly acclimatise them to the new hard water, i.e. add a cupful of tank hard water to their bag every 15-30 minutes until the pH is the same as your tank and then you can add them.

Aslong as you don't drop them in suddenly they should be fine.

Good luck.
