Does anybody have any experience with this CO2 unit ? I only saw them last month for the first time
but now I'm seeing them in 3 or 4 of my LFS's

Carbonator !

It looks nice and neat, but seems a little expensive and I'm sure the refills will be overpriced.

Just wondered if anybody has used one and what the quoted "ca. 1 g pure CO2" would equate to
as a CO2 level in a 130L tank.

Curious more that anything else ... unless they are really good I'll be sticking with my Nutrafin DIY kit.

Thanks

CO2 requirements vary from tank to tank depending on lighting, planting etc.

Dennerle say appprox. 1.5g per day per 100 Litres so this unit will be too low for your needs I would suggest.

The Nutrafin units are a much better bet I would say.

Thanks ......

As I thought, I'll be sticking with the Nutrafin and saving myself some £££

I'm currently have a single unit running and that puts me at about 18-20ppm, I'll be adding a second unit very soon.

I only added 1 unit because I wanted to stage the lowering of my PH rather than a single big drop.

Thanks again

sochting carbonators are being pushed by a local hobbyist here, refills are not that expensive.

I rank its co2 diffusion capabilities at par with an upturned bell. Its just a passive co2 diffuser hehehehe If you use a DIY reactor or a ladder then i guess those will diffuser more co2 into the water column. I also go with gf with those nutrafin units ( altough I never tried them myself im a bit sure it would provide better co2 levels with regards to budget)
