I did get my new tank but I decided to wait to breed until money is better. Anyways I decided that it looks weird having a 10 gallon tank with one bettta. Anyways I was wondering what kinds of fish can live with a betta. The thing is I do love fish and not tring to sound arrogant but I only want the pretty fish. Anyways I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of pretty fish can live with a betta. I know the betta doesn't really like anything bright colored or with flowy fins but I do not like the bottowm dwellers or the algae eaters and they get kinda big. Help Please!

Unfortunatly I cant really think of any "bright pretty fish" that could live comfortably with a male betta. Why not divide the tank into 2 or 3 sections and get more then one male, and add a couple ottos they're cute little algae eaters that get along real well with bettas and dont get more then 1 1/2 - 2" or you could always put your male (im assuming u already have a male in the 10g) in a smaller tank and get 5 or 6 females to put in the 10g.

Well.... I don't think I can think of anything that might be suitable.
But you could always just get a divider and get another betta. Or get 2 dividers, split the tank 3 ways and get 2 more bettas.

I can't think of any "pretty" ones either.

I think the tank divider idea is great. You could have three very different colored males or 2 with a space for a filter and heater in the middle section (with plant cover of course). If you go that route, just make sure that you secure the dividers really well and allow them to be as high as possible so the males don't jump and fight eachother. Trust me, if you leave any sort of way for them to get over there, they will do it.... and the end result is devastating.

Dividing the tank is a great idea. You could put diffrent colors and tail types. Females are also a good idea. They don't have the finnage the males do but their color can be just as pretty.
