So Much For Dwarf Sag

Great just great Wait about 2 weeks for my dwarf sag to come for my jungle carpet and when it does the stuff is like 3 times taller than the dwarf sag I already have Feel gutted they were not exactly cheap for that many and now I need to buy a whole new carpet plant.

Im begining to wonder if what I had in my head was the dwarf sag in my tank is not infact something else (Pic is below) but in most google images dwarf sag looks more like whats in my tank than what ive been sent.

I am not entirely sure because I can't see the leaf well, but it looks like you've been sent sagitarria platophylla. Same family but grows much larger, up to 30 cm.

I think after further inspection I'd have to agree with you I've fired off an email to ask what has happened. I will think twice on ordering from them again tbh I dont usually use them but my regular plant site didnt have it at the time.

thats def dwarf sag in my tank right ? Only reason i ask is ive seen some pics of pygmy chain swords looking similar but im sure that sag in there lol

it looks like Sag to me, i find that pygmy swords get a bit bigger when they are at that submerged state.

Just confusd that both sets of sag ive been sent from 2 dif companys are HUGE compared to mine.

Looks like Dwarf Sag to me . What they sent you does look more like Sagittaria platyphylla instead of dwarf sag, however remember "dwarf" sag can still grow high in some conditions, so they may say the plant is dwarf sag anyway.

Thanks for the feedback leaves an interesting problem of its own now how to make sure what i get is the smaller sag

Might have to go for something else so I dont waste more money I think
