So Many Babies

Solo, all relaxed and hanging out now

Moved about 50 more sparkling gourami fry to the sparkler tank.
I'm around 140-150 sparkler fry at this point, I've stopped officially counting them until they get larger lol

Can you see the newbies under the salvinia?

And 2 weeks old on the bigger ones!

Unfortunately my pygmy babies aren't off to a good start, I've lost 2 for sure. So down to 4 of them.

But my sparklers are doing beyond well. I've got well over 100 babies and all the oldest have at least doubled in size.

This photo is one of the new ones added, only 3 days old:

And the cory babies... i added some decor to their tank and one decided to swim up and chill in the plant against the glass for some time, his chubby belly hanging out lol

The bottle in the back is a big 1.5L bottle I use to hatch baby brine shrimp every other day lol

Smallish update.

So all my platy babies have found homes. I kept one for myself... he isn't very cooperative for photos, he's always on the go.

I am down to only 3 pygmy cory babies, the heat wave isn't doing so good for them, but parents have spawned the last 2 days. The dark egg was the first day and is fertile, the 3 lighter ones are fresh collected today.

Can you find the 3 fry?

The biggest guy, you can see peeking out from under the leaf.

The two cories moved to the parent tank are doing fantastic.

The others in the grow out are growing good, packing on some good bellies with the baby brine shrimp.

Some unexpected additions. One person who took some platy babies offered to trade guppy babies for them. Why not, right? So I got 8 little cuties altogether and they're just adorable. Plan to keep one to add to my adult girls.

And the sparklers are growing fast. Theyre looking more like gouramis each day. The oldest ones anyways. The youngest are still eating microfauna and cyclops while the older ones gorge on baby brine shrimp.

So at 6 currently for pygmy cory fry...

Added a bit more sand and their leaf litter and moss back. Just cleared it out to get a quick look and to clean up uneaten food.

#5&6 hatched today.
#1 hatched yesterday
#2, 3, & 4 are about 8-9 days old

Are you going to save this batch of fry? Or leave them to fend for themselves?
Nature is gonna have to take its course. Even at this point I intervene and move the fry to the sparkler baby tank, the older sparkler fry will probably just eat them.

Plus, I have 150ish fry already, there are only so many to find homes you know? Lol
