anyone know any places in the US that i can buy about 50? my area doesn't have a lot of garage sales so that's not an option. i was hoping for some online site with 1/4-1/2 gallon jars

do you have a walmart near you? they sell mason jars in 1 ltr, (1/4g) for $8 for 12 of them including lids. thats what im going to use.

If you look around, you'd be surprised what you find really cheap that you can use. After easter I went to the dollar store and bought up all their half price easter candy jars (they were 50 cents each!). Oh, sure the lids are pink and purple and sickening pastel colors and they have easter scenes painted on the sides, but they work perfectly for the little bettas. You'd be suprirsed what you find at the grocery store, too. I know people that use empty 2 liter pop bottles for their jarred fry. Empty juce bottles (the big ones, of course). Even empty pretzel containers. Buying the box of mason jars is a good way to get a bunch of them all at once, and they are all the same size and what-not. You can get them at Walmart and just about any other dept. store like that, too.
