So, Is This A Sev Then

Here is my 1" Notatus. I bought from an importer who bred these its a F1. Meaning that its parents were wild caught if you were unsure of what F1 ment.

You photo is hard to tell what it is for sure. But if it looks like mine with the good size spots then it might be a notatus.
 
Well, if it's not a notatus that will teach me to believe the labels on the tanks (even if the shop was voted one of the best in the country ! - it's an okay shop, but never thought it was one of the top few in the country). They did have some sevs labelled as Heros Efaciatus in the shop also, they were virtually the same to look at as the one i bought (as a notatus) but were kind of paler overall and with fainter stripes. Looking closely at my fish it does have spots, but they are all in the dark stripes if that makes any difference. Anyway, i am happy with both of them (whatever they are) and they are getting a bit of character to them now as well, just got to be good and not let myself buy any more now !!!
 
I think baby Rotkeil, could well be notatus, but a hybrid one, i don't think its pure because it looks so different.
