Devon charm, I love it! Now by duel outlet air pump, do you mean one outlet sucks, and the other blows? I'd love to try this myself if I can get my head around it all.

No both outlets blow air out, I run 3 sections off of one and the other 3 off of the other. You can use a single outlet pump but i would of though it would have quite enough power to run 6 airstones. I think now if i was to do it again i would go for a 4 outlet as it causes better suction through the sponge but still keep the current extreamly low.
