So How Much Will It Cost Me For?

Hello,

As you see im a "noob " at this website but needing all the help i can get.

I would like to know how much it would cost me for the items to put inside of a new tank.

The tank size's would be (l,h,w) 165,61,51cm which would be 513 litres or 113 gallons abouts and was wondering how much it will cost me and what items are needed (just to start things off)

Sorry im from the UK and would like fish and corals if i could.
also i can get the tank made from a friend of mine for cheap so was wondering the cost of every elsa i need.

I saw a 90 gallon near me for about £400 all in, that was a 4 footer with stand etc.

Ok, just noticed what forum this post is in, that tank was suitable for fresh water, adding a decent protein skimmer, enough live rock and powerheads would add a couple of hundred more onto that. I'd say best part of 1000 including the tank!

well you need to decied whether you want

fo -fish only
fowlr-fish only with live rock
reef-fowlr and corals.

live rock will be the most expensive purchase and your need alot for a tank that size if you want it for filtration.
your prob need at least 2 heaters to heat it all, powerheads perhaps 4 big hydor koralias to get your flow rate to 20x.

water and salt would maybe cost a fair bit too, RO water if its gonna be a fowlr or a reef.

live rock is about 9.99 a kilo and you need a rather lot of it! like 60kilos + i think .... u cud buy it in bulk cheaper i recon if u haggle you cud also check for peopel dismantiling established reefs they go for cheaper and are well matured sometimes.

hydor korlias set u bak at about 40 each

heaters will be about 20 each

refractometer will be about 20-30

substrate curshed coral araganite wud be about 30

water and salt may be abotu 100ish to fill.

its not that cheap but best bet is to look on net and classifieds for bargains, your have alot of choice fish wise in a tank that size though

o and lighting will depend on what corals you want to keep

So i see this is be my dream tv out the window but i hear you need to have a mm skimmer i belive and a wave box or something what about them kinda of costs?

i got my dream tv before all this 350 it cost who knew it wud be cheaper and bigger then my fishie tank pretty much


oops yeh forgot bout skimmer! it would be around 100 for that i reon v2 skimmer.

wavebox you can have andywg i beleive has oen looks awesome on the vid he posted, that cud be instead of the powerheads though, im not too good on the expensive techie side of things though!!!
