So... 220 Gallon Stocking Ideas...

So im getting a 220 gallon tank from my step dad soon, and am wondering about what would be good for it. Thinking a planted oddball or discus tank, but any other suggestions welcomed. Wondering if I should do a 75 gallon sump, maybe idk would that work? Also some suggestions for lighting or other filtration methods... Substrate, plants, fish, filtration, lights, decorations what ever you wanna suggest would be gladly welcomed!

Wow!! 220G? That's huge! I'm just imagining all the fish I could keep...
Discus are too fragile and expensive for me. Even though they are pretty, they aren't worth it. IMO
I would do
5 clown loaches
1 Prochilodus Lineatus
1 Oscar
5 Tinfoil Barbs
 
Usually that might be a bit overstocked, but with the +75G sump I think it would be fine. The Prochilodus and Tinfoil Barbs would eat plants tho You could do Amazonian driftwood though.

10 Syno. Eupterus
 
Which would have plenty of moving color, just arrange some rocks in natural cave formations, and voila, Lake Malawi.

220 Gallons? That's quite a tank! If you want oddballs, mudskippers fit the description. You could do a mangrove setup. Archerfish, mudskippers (a fish that crawls on land), etc etc. Mudskippers crawl on land so 1/3 of the tank on shore would be good. A lower water level and so on. I used to have two mudskippers in a 75g before I took them out and gave them away, replanting the tank into a SA setup.

Very cool fish but was thinking BGK, elephant nose fish, arrowana, bichirs, and a fire eel. Thinking oscars but they are poop machines, gonna get some cool pleco to maybe 2 or 3? when i get algae of course, thinking planted but dont know what lights i would need and all that would probably get pro help near me
