Is it possible for "pest" snails to go out of the tank? Can they survive living on land?

No. They are aquatic snails. they cannot survive out of water for very long.

I found one today which has come in with plants. I heard they might contain parasites?

Ive seen a decrease in the amount of snails in my 10 gal...
There arent any dead ones, and my mom said she didnt take any out lately, so i dont know how they can be getting out of the tank.
Unless they come out of the tank and die on the floor, or something...
Or maybe they get out and go into my 5 gal somehow?
