Snails!

I appear to now have loads, Are they doing any harm? they seem to have a very round shell, with whiteish spots on. One of them looks like it has an extra little bit poking outof the side of its shell, any idea?

snails don't do any harm they just look nasty when there are tons of them. If you do have loads then its normally a sign of over feeding.

Just squish them, people usually buy another type of snail(Assassin) to deal with the problem but in my opinion that is just defeating the object.

Try to avoid off the shelf remedies also

I had a bbq on sunday and didnt do my usual check of my tank and unforunatly when I checked it monday a glass fish had died, so I think they had a good feast on my poor fishy
