I was thinking about getting a snail 4 my tank. I never had snails before so, how do you take care of em  ? Do they need to have a large tank or real plants? Do they eat special food, and last do they need air? Anything I sould know is needed. :thanks: ^_^

Snails are easy to care for. They will eat the extra food on the bottom of your tank. You can feed them romaine lettuce, (put it in the freezer first for a few minutes, then run it under hot water and put it in the tank). They will eat spirulina wafers, shrimp pellets. Many different foods.

OK good they're easy to care 4. Are they hardy? Also do they swich shells? :thanks:

"Guide to keeping snails:

Add water"

That is, basicaly, all you need to do. And maybe a bit of lettuce or cucumber now and again if you are feeling geneous.

Make sure your water is copper-free. They also do better in an alkaline PH. And they don't change shells.

They are hardy, but some do need special care, why not look in the invertebrates index for some ideas on species options?

I just let my snails go wild.

They eat cucumber, lettuce and stuff plus my catfish sinking pellets.
