are snails good or bad? i just found a baby one today

snails will eat live plants in your tank and can become pests. However, they do eat algae and left over food.

Not all snails eat live plants... please cover what they look like and ill be able to help, or drop me a PM with a picture or a throuough description

If they are pointy they wont eat plants, if not it depends on the species

well it is tiny and i carnt find the little thing i been looking ages

I wouldnt worry too much. If you find it, remove it as it may become a pest.

Sounds like some hitchhiking snail eggs on your live plants?

I didnt find it on plants found it on heater

YEs but what he means as it probably came into your tank off of any plants you avebought

i found a baby snail last week, i took it out, then dropped it back in on a rock. i think one of my platys ate it .....

i dont have a snail problem im a big fan of clown loaches so its unlikely ever to have

it makes the the tank look more real
