Hi guys, Basically, I bought some plants from a LFS and now I have a tank full of snails :/ . Any suggestions on how to get rid of them would be much appreciated, Thanks!! :D

Assassin Snails are wonderful for the job, sorted me out no end. They will breed in the tank, much more slowly than pond snails. I do however have loads now, so only put in 1 or 2, and hope that they're not a male and a female.

There are other methods, though, you could try putting lettuce or cucumber in the tank overnight, then lifting out the snails.

Some would say that they serve a useful purpose - if the population explodes, you're feeding too much.

Recently, I'm having a problem with pest snails too. Baby ones are appearing everywhere so I just use my hands and pluck them off.

The veggie method worked for me too :)

All those work, and you can also reach in a smoosh them ... your fish will thank you.

Cut down on your feeding and they'll begin to disappear. I did that and got some assassins, and now they're all manageable.

A small loach would work well. Be careful because some loaches, like clown loaches, can get quite large.

I have a kribensis and she loves the snails. I have none in my large tank but get loads in my baby molly tank... I just pick them out and chuck them in the big tank..
