Snails In Filter

ok, i said earlier that you can put lettuce in a salt shaker to help remove them, do not use this if you have small fish! i came home and one of my tetras were stuck inside and couldnt get out because the lettuce.

Bugger!!!!! Maidenhead Aquatics said they would be alright to put in, even sold it as a community snail eating fish!!! Don't think i'll be able to get to the one i bought them from for at least a week. What sort of size wiould they need to get before they start ripping tails off???

Also, a lot of internet sites say it is a community peacefull fish.

Won't be able to get there for a week. I'll just have to keep an eye on them.

I'll tell you what though, when you do see the little buggers ingrained into your 'its taken me months to cycle' filters you really do fell that there is no way to rid your tank of them - the fish can't get at them to eat them.
