one, two, three, four i declare snail war!!!
Right i've read loads of topics on snails and i have some advice.
1. Snails mostly come attached to live plants.
2. interpet treatment: snail away doesn't work so don't waste ur money.
3. get treatments that are safe to use on plants.
NOW 4 the actual purpose of this artical. b4 u put live plants in ur tank do the following:

1) get a bucket fill it with water.
2) put a bottle of ur snail treatment in it (make shure there's atleast twice the dose that u would have in ur tank)
3) leave it for about 2 days.
4) rinse the plants very well using dechlorinated water.
5) decide whare to put ur snail free plants.
6) put them in.
7) feed plants if not done so)
8 ) enjoy u plants and let ur fish do so as well.

You can also soak the plants in alum (purchase at grocery store and put in a container of water) for a couple of days, and that will get rid of snails/eggs and microscopic bugs.

didn't know dat. is it safe for fish? and do u need to rinse it
You're supposed to soak the plants in a separate container with an alum/water solution for a couple of days. I believe it's 1 tbsp. alum to 1 gallon of water. You do not want to put it in the aquarium with fish. Rinse the plants thoroughly before putting them in the tank.

I've used this method before with no problems.

i like picking the little blighters of and hitting them with a big hammer. :)

What about snails in the gravel??

fishy frenzy - take a look in your filter... its the only place i find snails in the main tank... the clowns eat the rest :)

yah i know i have tones os snails traped in the filter and i cant afford to take the filter offline so the only way to deal with hat is use a snail treatment it'll get thoes buggers out of ur tank gust make sure that u follow the instructions.
