Just noticed something on my tank glass - as well as algae growing on glass [not too much], I've noticed small thread looking organisms - looks like really small white worms moving on the glass - they are really small - looks as if they are moving but might be them moving to the current.

Is this normal during fishless cycling ?

Any advice would be great

Thanks

They are planaria and are generally harmless and your fish will snack on them when you get them.

So its ok and will not hold up cycling? there's a lot of them on the tank

Just turned on my light on my aquarium to see if the worm infestation had cleared up but seems to have got worse - I know they are planaria now and I'm a little worried that the infestation might get out of hand before my fishless cycle is finished [hopefully a few weeks time] - I understand the fish will love them but there is some amount of them and some are getting bigger

Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks
Jack

Use an algae scruder and get rid of them?

Been scrubbing the planeria away from tank daily - noticed it reducing but also saw them replced by another little critter - it's spermlike in appearance - little head with tail.

Any suggestions on what they are? these bugs are giving my wife the heebie jeebies :)

Cheers
Jack

Better day today with planaria - seems to have gotten better
