I might be getting a 11L or 17L fish tank, just want ideas for stocking it.
I plan to have it planted and mb sand and of course a heater.
Just so i dont get people telling me to cycle i will cycle it fully.

Im thinking fish, cats (corys), inverts etc?

Unfortunately, those tanks are too small for a cory. A betta, or ADF may be a better choice, possible a couple shrimp.

Ok thanx
Ive never had much luck with shrimp, mb a couple of assassin snails.

So a betta or ADF would be the only options then?

One ADF or would 2/3 be ok in that size?

I have *had* two three-gallon tanks (approx 11L) and one had a betta in it and with the plants, the heater, and the extra media necessary to slow down the water flow, the tank was too small. My betta has LONG fins - he's a double-tailed and would struggle to turn around. My advice is if you do go with that size of a tank is get a female betta because she'll find it easier to manuver around with her tiny fins.

I moved my above mentioned betta into a 5-gallon and returned the 3-gallon to the store (surprisingly they took it back after I complained about the picture on the box showing two goldfish in the tank). lol

The other 3-gallon is still running and has two male guppies and one fry that the LFS gave me. The tank is kind of small for them, but it's my son's tank and I'm not going to tear it down as he'd be upset by that!

Don't cory varieties need well-established/mature tanks?

Thanx, its ottos that need a mature tank, as i found out too late :(
Ive had 2 corys in my tank for ages, bought 4 ottos and 2 turned out to be corys and the ottos died not been back yet to get more
