Small S.a. Cichlids?

do you think bolivian rams and GBR would hybridize?

They just might. I DO NOT reccomend hybridizm. It is wrong, and is not just "introducing a new fish into the world" If it was okay to do it, then releasing aquarium fish into the wild would not mess up the entire ecosystem. Please DO NOT do it.
no they cant

Agreed

I thought since they were both Mikrogeophagus that they might do it. SInce two apistogramma can, i thought that they could. I didn't give a deffinate answer. Oh well, I still dont\'t think making hybrids is the right thing ot do.

If they are both different types of rams, then they can definitly interbreed. Two different species of rams can and will interbreed. They should not be kept in the same tank. One male will take over and try to breed with all the females. Mosty new wolrd cichlids can interbreed with one another. Although I doubt a ram and an oscar will try, I am talking about similar fish.

A Boli wouldnt breed with a GBR so NO crossbreeding, A GBR could and would breed with a Golden Ram as they are both ramirezi's.

Then if this is true, then two types of apitsogramma cannot interbreed. And two apistogramma can interbreed. If they couldn't Apistogramma sp. Steel Blue would not exist.

Hey, I was just wondering, are they're any peaceful south american cichlids that stay small, are not extremely aggressive, come in many colors and hybridize with eachother, similar to assorted african cichlids such as elctric yellows, red zebras, johannis and etc

Hybrid fish are a touchy subject. Most of use don't like the idea of it but some people do. Whatever floats your boat.

here is a list of cute cichlids that are peacful and stay under 4"
Apistogramma are small and most of them will breed with other Apistogramma of different kinds.
Laetacara dorsigerus "Smiling Acara"
Cleithracara maronii "Keyhole Cichlid"
Laetacara thayeri "Redbellied Flag Cichlid"
Laetacara curviceps "Dwarf Flag Cichlid"
Nannacara anomala "Golden Dwarf Cichlid"
And yes the Rams Bolivian GBR and gold, new the Electric blue ram.

I thought I was right. Now could you tell me the combonation to get the pink rams lol.

Both bred at different temp for one, Bolivian's around 23c-24c and GBR's are in the 30's so for the GBR's to bred you need warm water and Bolivians cooler water. The Bolivians cant stand water that high in temp.

This is true, but I bet there is some way that they could be bred. Like artificial encamination.
