Small Platy Fry

iv had my platy fry for 8 months and they are still very small about ______ that size. i keep them in a 40 litre tank and there is about 40 ov them. any ideas ov y they are still so small thanxs

over crowding. a fish will only grow to the size of its tank. take some out and they will grow bigger.

also how often and what do you feed?
how often and how much water change?
does it have a heater and filter?

If you want them to get bigger, you need to do frequent water changes and keep them well fed with a variety of high protein foods. I have never seen fry that would not grow if you give them enough of the right food and plenty of water changes. Normal water maintenance is not enough when you want to encourage fry to grow bigger.
