Small Angel?

wwestar the loaches are khuli loaches which grow 4 inches maximum, you are probably thinking of clown loaches which can potentially reach 18 inches or more, khulis are really the only loach recommended for tanks less than 20 gallons.

Emma
Yeah i didn't explain why i said that. I posted a thing about my loach. "orange finned loach" Who i bought at WM months ago. At WM it said max size 4 inches and the boox i have it says max size 4 inches. But then when i posted about him people here somehow are finding info that says they grow 20 inches or something crazy like that. And im not fimiliar with loaches and actaully now dispise them. Thats the only reason i said that. I have no hell of a clue how much a khuli loach grows. :p
This is not a dig wwestar, just a word to help the newcomers.

If you have no idea as to the information please dont post it as factual.
If you have a opinion please state that its only your opinion so beginners are not left even more confused.
Sorry if i caused confusion...? :look:

In your tank right now, you only have room for one more fish - something around 1-2". So don't attempt to put any angels or loaches in any more. A single honey gourami would be ideal. Sparklers were suggested, as were dwarfs - dwarfs are fragile fish so, though one would work, you'd be better off with a honey. Sparklers are nice and small but are not 'centerpiece' fish and you shouldn't realy keep them singly so you don't have room to accomodate them.

The person who said an 8" tall fish would be fine with 2" space between it's anal fin and the bottom or its dorsal and the surface - should we put you in a room with 2" between you and each wall? think about it...
Besides, it would kill the rest of the fish if it were cramped like that - neon lunch would be the least of your worries.

To the person who said their granfather kept 6 angels in a 30 gallon - it's common practice to get 6 juvenile fish and let them pair off because you cannot sex young angels visualy. Once a pair forms, the rest are returned to the fish store. A single pair is fine in a 30 gallon. 6 angels would NOT be - not as mature adults.

Atmmachine why do you have a male betta in with those fish? I'm surprised the angels have't made snack out of it or they shredd each others fins.

6 adult angels in a 30? How much switching & swapping of fish had to be done to acomplish that? I had to pull 2 different pairs, and a few individuals to finally come up with a mix of 7 adult angels that would work in a 65. It took nearly a year of swapping fish & rearranging decos to make it work.

The only way I could see making 6 adults work in a 30 is with 2 dividers for 3 pairs. That is around half the amount of room needed for the keeping of breeding pairs, though I've seen other breeders keep 2 pairs in a divided 29 gallon. Let me know how he keeps the aggression in check if no dividers are used.
