Slug in new tank

Guys it looks more like a snail now.... It's got a shell looking thing on it's body.What do you guys think?

I have spotted out another 2 of them.... Should i take them out???
Is it true that snails are good cleaners What type of snail would they

If its just a snail/s, snails do eat algae although they also breed very rapidly and many people get outbreaks of them that cannot be controlled, for every snail you see there's probably another 5 hiding somwhere as they are good at hiding, if you don't mind them nibbling the occasional hole in your plants and can handle the numbers they are not a problem.

HMMM i guess they would be good for the algae control....But i don't want to see a tank with 20fish & 20 snails. Do they get bigger?

Not usually. They stay pretty small.
