Hi, i've had some slimy white stuff/hair growing in my tank and it was getting worse, so i cleaned the tank and the ornaments. It's only on inorganis stuff, not on fish
I'm currently dealing with ICH, so i've raised the temp. andgot some bubbles going, as well as using some anti-ICH medication.
PH is about 7,0
Gh is slightly hard (80 on the test chart, or 4 drops)
KH 50mg/l (associated with low PH from test kit chart)
Ammonia and Nitrites are almost nil
My LFS guy (who I trust) didnt want to sell me chemicals to get rid of it, says its mostly dead bacteria ''clumping'' together. I' showed him a sample (too bad i didnt take a picture. He says it gets worse with high temp and oxygen, but that it's not dangerous to fish, just yucky.
Anyone ever had it? How did you deal with it? Just scrub maybe?
