Slime! Help!

My poor betta's tank gets full of this yucky slime. I am doing regular water changes, cleaning, etc and still cant get rid of it. What is this thing? My other bug tank never gets thus type of algae.

It's not algae it's fungus and it will kill the plants if it gets too out of control, other people have told me that it killed their fish as well but I've never experienced this. Best way to treat it is to dose antifungal such as pimafix

oh wow Thanks for the heads up. I dont like the sound of it. I will do another cleanup and get the treatment you suggested. I hope it will keep it under control.
