had a long weeked in devon this weekend and got some slate rocks from the coast. is it safe to put in tank with my malawi cichlids, and is there a process to do before putting them in? many thanks!!

Could try boiling water in a bucket with rocks in and test ph etc see if they do anything to water

The slate won't hurt anything at all. I have it in my tank. I'd be concerned with getting it from the coast. That's where any pollution will wash up
