Hi,

I currently have a 55 gal reef setup using a wet-dry sump for filtration. I purchased a 100 gal tank and stand and was thinking about using a skilter (hangon filter and protien skimmer in one) unit. I would prefer to use the skilter due to quieter than a sump setup and less worry of leaks. I will be transfering the 55 gal setup to the 100 gal tank which has 110 pds of live rock. My lfs recommends skilter units but I have heard of people not satisfied with them online. Possible some people online may not have set it up correctly. Please tell me what you all think and why.

Thanks :good:

if its a wet dry in a reef tank with all that live rock, then the wet dry is pretty much pointless..... You dont need a wet dry. And if you drill you have less of a chance of leaks and spilling.
