Sizes Soooo Different

As you know I have an imported female Betta who is tiny, the same size as a platy. In Maidenhead Aquatics I've seen male Bettas and they are HUGE compared. Today I was up pets at home for dog food and had a look and they had one male Betta there and he was tiny just like my feamle. The difference in size is amazing. The ones in maidenhead are quite big. I prefer them bigger.

Has anyones imoprted males grown ti a nice size or are they all tiny?

He was probably just a young male Marie. I have a Thai import and he is no different in size from my UK bred. I have a couple of fully grown adult females who are tiny,- then I have other adult females who are huge in comparison!

Thanks because I was in two minds. I want a good one so was gonna get an import but I like the size of the ones in Maidenhead. But they are the run of the mill blue ones. They look nice but I want something special as I can only get the one.

Have a look on ebay as there are always lovely ones on there. Often you can get them from a maiden bid

Oh yeah I've seen beauties on there.

the smaller 1s get better looking as they age, both Kai and Tiny were tiny when they arrived now there normal size (and still growing!)
