Thanks all for answering my max number of fish question.
but some of u said i should get a bigger tank then the 80cmx35cmx45cm 25 uk gallon one. what size do u recomend for in our living room??

cheers :dunno:

The biggest that your budget allows for
but even then you'll want a bigger one

The biggest one you can afford for sure. Keep in mind, though, tanks can get very heavy so make sure wherever you are going to put it can support the weight.

Well at the mow i have a little cold water set up in spare bedroom upstairs which is 6 / 7 gallons with a tench yey my favorite fish :) a few gold fish and a fan tail.
But i was looking for something showy ( if thats a word) for the living room are lass wants some neon tetras but ne thing else that will look nice :)
I may like a shark or something as well in there. Also some thing that isnt a fish like a crab ( though i have heared that these eat fish so daont want ne of them) or some kinda shrimpy things

I think what you're looking for is my brackish tank. The way that I got it setup now, I got 3 sharks, 6 sailfin mollies, 1 red claw crab, 2 bamboo shrimp and 2 mystery snails. All that in a 55g. Ends up weighing around 1/4 ton (depending on density of water and such). U can put that just about anywhere. The catfish are bottom dwellers, the mollies are midrange dwellers. The crab can't catch any fish to hurt them and eats mostly algae and scraps. The shrimp bother noone and noone bothers them. Neon tetras won't do well with sharks I think. Sharks would get large enough to eat them. Best to buy the largest fish you're gonna end up putting in there and then buying friends that won't eat him or get eaten.
