Any body know how to tell the sex of a shrimp?! I'd always thought mine was a fella, but the other day 'he' was upside down on a bit of branch and appeared to be knitting with his back main legs and flicking his small tail leg/sticks (note the use of correct terminology! 
) ) I couldn't see any eggs, but I'm not too sure what I'm looking for, and I doubt the tetras, kuhlis and other greedy pigs wouldn't let them hang around for too long!
I altered my Fluval outlet direction slightly and since I've seen a lot more of him, he now alters his positioning to catch his grub!
PS He was labelled a 'Six Legged Shrimp', but I struggle to find this name elsewhere, he seems to be visually close to a bamboo or rock shrimp. He's about three inches and varies from a straw colour, to brick red/brown, with a whitish stripe down his back. There's a micro pic on my profile pic but it's teeny weeny! (I keep promising myself I'll get some webspace so I can upload some proper pics!)
