Id like to get either rams or cockatoos as i like the look of them. However all the info seems to suggest i get pairs. I dont want to be over run with fry so is it possible to keep a couple or females or single females? I dont want them to be stressed if they shouldnt be alone but wont get them if they have to be paired either. Can anyone advise please?

I am no expert but I don't think they will always pair up and breed, also if you just leave the fry in th tank if you have other larger fish too.they will eat most the fry.

IMO this is great advice for most fish but dwarf cichlids are excellent parents and will get very aggressive if thy have fry - they will most likely do some damage to whoever tries to eat their fry.

yep thats what i thought and i dont have any "big" fish either my biggest are some endler/guppy and that wont work they are too blond lol. I did wonder if my shrimp might eat the fry?
