Hello,
My german blue ram has a single white spot that appeared just above his eye. I am not sure this is the white spot disease as the white spot appears a little bit bigger than the photographs I have seen around. Can you help?
Thank you
PS: I do not have a camera good enough to take picture

here the characteristics:

Tank size: 50 liter
pH: 7.5
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 20-50
kH: 110
gH: 240
tank temp: 26C (78.8F)

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): a single white spot (like a wart) that appeared just above his eye (size 1/6 of the eye size)

Volume and Frequency of water changes: twice a week

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: fresh start

Tank inhabitants: 2 rams, 2 cory habrosus, 2 handlers, 2 shrimps, 3 assassin snails

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): the rams are the last entry (2 weeks ago)

Exposure to chemicals: None

I am not sure why I did not received any answer since this morning, perhaps my question was not clear enough. Anyway, during the course of the day, my other fish have started to show little spots too.
As I am still not sure about the diagnosis (the spot might be too big for white spot (Ichthyophthirius multifillis)and it might be velvet disease (Oodinium)), I have found a treatment that will cover both and other skin diseases as well:
Easy Life Anti-Spot

I thought that it might be useful for other lost souls to get a little help.
cheers

Any redness to the spots.
Do the spots look hard, or soft like filled with fluid.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing, excess mucas, darting, erratic swimming, or laboured breathing.
Any white specs behind the lens of the eye, or white spots on the eyes.

What type of fish are handlers. Or do you mean endlers.

What type of test kit are you using?
