Simple Question - Hopefully A Quick Reply.

my girlies r fairly tame towards each other as there is 9 of em to spread the agression out, the less i had the more torn fins i saw

rule is normally 1gallon (imperial gallon) per fish

good luck :)

I guess I'll be buying a new tank soon then. :good:

^^ Will the male bettas figure out what to do with the poly cups that are in their tank after a while?

Last question (Until I can think of some more)

Do bettas like a current, I have recently took the filter out of my 60l tank and gave it a strip down and clean. It now sends a current around the tank.
He has lots of hiding places where he can get out of the current. So is this stressful towards him? If it is how could I slow the current down?

u cud stuff it with lotsa filter foam like polishing pads

i found this slowed mine alot

look on the pinned topics at the top, there is a thread on it there :)

not alot in all fairness

I have 2 males in a divided 4gallon tank

i reckon u cannot get ne more girls in there, i just dnt think keeping 2 is a good idea

Taken your advice. I took them out of the 13 litre tank and put them into a 40 litre tank, along with buying 3 new girls. (One may be a boy)

But they're looking better and swimming about more. How many you think could fit into a 40 litre tank?

5 of them in a 40l tank is getting fairly full. You might be able to squeeze in one or two more but I have 5 in a 10 gallon, which is about the same tank, and have stopped because I was afraid they would start to feel cramped. A cramped setting is often a place where aggression starts even with typical community fish so I didn't want to chance it with my girls.

i had 4 in my 20gal :hyper:
and i think all of my Females were males xD
cause they faught eachother alot so now there all in there own little things until i figure out which are males and which are females...
And i heard bettas hate currents
