Hi all, I would like to start serving 'live' live foods to my fish, and have noticed live daphnia for sale on ebay.

I was just wondering does any one know of a good method of keeping them in a small aquaria, i.e. so that they will breed and provide me with a continuous supply? cheers all.

I'm Guessing a small sponge filter (or no filter...) and fet on.... (old tank water from a tank that has algae in it?)

apparently it wasn't such a simple question as no one has posted! I don't know how to do it either, but I bet if you do a search on google or better yet, email the seller and ask how they do it, you would be able to get the info you need. HTH!

ok put them in a container/tank (i use my spare tanks)
put a glass jar with aquarium water on the windowsill where it will get lots of light and put a plant in it
give it two/three days till its nice and green
pour into daphnia tank

every couple of days just scoop your net through the tank and add what ever you've caught to which ever tank you feeding

they breed pretty quickly so youll need to keepthem pretty well culled
