Hey,

I went out and bought 2 silver tip tetras yesterday, all was fine, but when I came and fed them today, the guppy was hiding, which i thought was weird. After watching them for about 20 mins i've noticed that the silver tip tetras are chasing and nipping the male guppy.

Is this something I can just leave for them to battle out? Or should I remove the silver tips?

Silver tips are the most active tetra i own. I had a similar problem with them in my tank. What i've discovered is that tetras are much more aggressive towards other fish when in small groups. If you were to buy 4 or 5 more silvertips they will most likely chase eachother around and spend much less time bothering other fish. This method worked for me pretty well.

I've got silver-tips and they are rather violent. However, a month or so after I added them they settled down and now they hardly bother my other fish any more, even if they are very active.
