Silver Shark And Goldfish

I wonder if anyone can help, I used to have 3 silver sharks but unfortunately one died the other week and now one of the two is acting most odd. He doesn`t eat and when the air bubbles are on he just swims continually over and around the bubbles. When I switch the bubbles off he swims around quite normally.

Also I have a fish tank with gold fish. I have a pump and filter and air brick. Normally I change a third of the water one a week but lately the water is turning brown. I always put fresh start in the water when I change it and every month clean the ornaments. I must say the tank is in the kitchen and would you think this could affect the colour of the water. I cleaned the tank out fully last Friday and by Sunday it was turning brown.

Welcome to the forum.

We will need more information to help you. Can you post your water stats (pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia)? How old are your tank setups? What are the tank dimensions?

When you do a water change do you use a water conditioner?
