I'm a bad parent. I find myself leaving them in front of the TV with Sponge Bob on so I can go do other things. I know it's all my fault, but what can I do?

you think your a bad parent...well I constantly vent my anger on my mollies, and sometimes resort to bulying.
Their face just keeps on staring at me on and on I can't stand it! so I show them the limits of my patience....

I know exactly what you're talking about. I used to chase my cats around after getting home from a bad day at work, but that was really hard - they're fast and they have sharp claws. Them fishes can't move far or defend themselves. It takes a lot less energy to vent your frustrations on fish. And they're a lot cheaper than getting a new cat every few weeks.

Them fishes can't move far or defend themselves. It takes a lot less energy to vent your frustrations on fish. And they're a lot cheaper than getting a new cat every few weeks.

And don't forget fish can't defend themselves! and have no idea whats going on when you take them out of the water for sixty secs.
I just tell them it's for endurance!
