Hi guys,
I am "babysitting" some fish for my local high school as the janitors wont be in during the Christmas holidays, I have so far accomodated 1 RTBS, 4 Silver Dollars, and various tetras. Everything has settled in fine with the exception of the silver dollars. I replicated their existing water parameters in an empty tank I had, it had been cycled using water from the tank they were in, same temperature, zero readings for ammonia and nitrite, same pH levels and nitrate level as the other tank.
They went into the tank and just sank to the bottom, 3 of them are now swimming about fine after about 2/3 hours of inactivity, but one of them keeps flopping over onto its side. It can swim about fine if disturbed, any ideas what is causing this or is there anything I can do to help?
They had a fairly quick and smooth commute between the school and my house (10mins apart) any help/advice gratefully recieved
Chris
