Silly Fighting Fish Knocked Off A Couple Of Scales..

it seems silly Odin for his love of bombing about sometimes and/or squeezing through tight spaces has knocked a couple of scales loose, there is already aquarium salt in the tank, is it best to treat maybe with melafix to help it heal.....do the scales grow back, if so how long does that take??

Its not good to loose there scales are they loose there protection.
The salt should be fine.
Not sure on how long it takes for them to grow back, it can take a while.

it's only one or two, I'll have to make sure he doesn't knock anymore off, I'll keep an eye incase of any infection too

yeah....poor thing lol....though this is down to him being a loon now....haha

My guy banged his head not long after he went into the big tank and lost a scales from the top of his head. 2 weeks later you couldn't notice there was any problem. Clean water was enough to help him heal in my case, but i did have some meds ready to try just in case.
