I went to a LFS today to buy bedding for the hamster, and peek at the new shipment of bettas :wink: Well I was looking through the new boys when I found this boy toward the back of the bunch. He looks quite old, his fins almost look welded together so god knows how long its been since hes had clean water and some room to move. He also looks a bit bloated, and I'm afraid he might have some kind of bacterial infection in his face due to the fact that his eyes seem too big for his head, and his head in general seems a bit swollen, like Toby when I got him (see other recent rescue thread) So now hes home with me in a nice 1 gallon tank, bare bottom for now so I can see when he poos (which he hasn't yet :? ) But anyway, I would like to introduce you all to Scottie!! kis''

Hope he does well. It sickens me when I see they way pet stores and fish stores treat these beautiful fish. It should be an animal cruelty charge

well done for getting him. He will be ok with TLC. Just dont go into pet shops or try not to look at their little faces (bettas that is)

he will look good. some shops keep them with fin nippers and some in barracks i would prefer a tank all to the betta its self like mine

yes really nice DT i like his eyes how there too big for his body. maybe he doesnt have an infection and maybe it was some kind of birth defect. id love to get a little buy like that but no more fish for me that cant go into already running tanks.

good thing on getting him those ammonia burns from dirty water sure did alot to him
