Hi i have a sick swordtail in my aquarium it's left eye is swollen and gone black around the edges anyone know what this could be and if it can be treated and will it infect the other fish? Thanks

Sounds like pop eye, I'd quarantine him/her but I don't know about the treatment. The pros around here should know about that.

Sounds like popeye, no cure. It's a form of fish tb. If that's what it is, it is contagious. There are Meds you can try. Other causes are high concentrations of dissolved gases in the water. They get into the blood stream. Damage to the eye during a fight or hitting it against an ornament may cause it as well...
