I have two salamanders is a 4 foot tank, after the additiion of a third all salamanders seemed to be ill. The third salamander died, and now the other two look as if their skin is starting to peel and they are not eating.
I do a 60% water change every week and I change the charcoal in the filter every month.
I've had these guys for two years so I really do not want to loose them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have a picture? water stats? and personally I dont think you should change 60% of ur water thats too much it will kill them from sudden change of water stats. Max change out is 50% more is no good to sensetive species I do only 25% to smaller fish like tetra. And charcoal does not have to be change every month. I change it every 3 month and its all good. You only need to wash ur sponge when u maintain ur filter every week and use the water you change out to wash them. That way bacteria inside ur sponge will be ok. hosting a picture and testing ur water will be the best way to help us clear thing cause just by peeling and not eating there r alot of disease have the similar symtom try to observe a little long to see if there r other signs of illness.
