I have a 6 in long 4 year olg plecko, just about a month ago I noticed a slimy looking white patch around his eye, I asked the fish store what to do so I tryed an antibactieral, and fungal treatment neither did a thing, 2 weeks passed and its starting to spred, but none of the other fish look sick including the other plecko, any ideas. he/she also has greenish looking kelpy stuff about 2 cm growing from around its mouth been there for 1-2 years now any ideas?

check the water quality, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & PH.
it could be excess mucous or a protozoan infection.
do a daily water change and gravel clean for a week and see if that helps. Plecos are dirty fish that make a lot of waste and that can encourage diseases and water quality problems.

where is this plec becasue uve posted this in the coldwater section ??? and wot species is it ???

Sorry to get off topic but can they not live in cold water ???? because the indian resturant near here has a 7 foot tall hex gold fish tank with one in cold water of course ....
