I seem to get this a lot but one of my fish is sick again and I can't see why. Any advice would be welcome, It's Buddy the male appistogramma hongsloi

Tank size: 120L
pH: 6.8
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
tank temp: 25

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):
The male hongsloi has become very quiet over the last 2 days: he is sitting on the bottom mostly and doesn't seem very interested in food but does perk up a little. It similar to what the agasizzi did a while ago (now dead) no particular colour change or anything but behavior. All the other fish leave him alone and he's stopped showing off the to female hogsloi. He is gasping quite a bit

Volume and Frequency of water changes:
50-70% per week
Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:
Prime

Tank inhabitants:
9x Ruby Barbs 8x bronze cory, 3x platies, 1x female agazissi and 2x hongsloi (incl. himself)

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):
Moved some cambomba from my other tank to this one just over two weeks ago. Last week one of the barbs died for no apparent reason

Thankyou for any ideas what could be up with him and what I can do about it

as of this morning his eyes have paled around the edges and his body is pale and a little bloated but not pineconed

You're not getting a lot of replies here, but sorry to say that I suspect that's got a lot to do with nobody having anything much helpful to say.

You're, by all appearances, doing everything right. Trying to advise in any way I can you are getting a pattern here with fish dying in the same way with very few signs, so, internal parasites would spring to mind as a possibility. Might be worth a trial of treatment, but I've got very little else.

Thankyou, next time I can get to the Lfs I'll see what treatment they have for that. It's really upsetting to have so many unexplained deaths, I expected one or two but I'm getting quite a few more than seems reasonable especially when the fish can't be that old.

thankyou for the advice

Perhaps try quarantining and medicating with a broad spectrum anti-bacterial? I would go for Esha 2000 over Myxazin for this treatment, simply because we are unable to give a definitive diagnosis and you could even dose Esha Exit alongside 2000 with no issues (whereas you need 4 days between Waterlife's Myxazin and Protozin because of compound overlap).

Buddy died yesterday before I could get hold of anything. Should I medicate the tank or anything other than a waterchange? None of the other fish are showing any differant behaviour but if it is the same thing that killed the barb and the other apisto then it's a couple weeks between each fish
