Sick Guppy?

I got a new male guppy the other day, and today he is laying on the bottom of the tank and every so often he will get up and swim and float back to the bottom. Is he sick???

it sounds like it.

Have you checked the water quality?
How long has the tank been set up for with or without fish in?
Is the tank temperature ok?
Are there any other fish in the tank?
Is there a filter running on the tank and is it run all the time?

Need to see water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph.
Sounds like swim bladder which can be fetched on by bad water quality and poor diet.
