One of my tuxedo platy is sick heres the symptoms

Stage 1 - was very quiet hid away under the cover of a rock, didnt come out to feed, no interaction with other fish - looked healthy though

Stage 2 - Was hiding still more, almost like she was trying to hide from everything - still looked healthy

Stage 3 - Vanished! - had wedged itself under the slightest gap in rock - it now swims slighly sideways and trys to wedge itself under rocks, still not eating

Ok there is no visable sign of this fish being different to my 2 other tuxedo platy, appart from the actions

What should i do??? i dont think i can afford to setup a quarantine tank for this one, could i maybe get some sort of cradle or basket that sits towards the surface to which i can try and get the fish to recover/take food

I dont really wanna kill it, but i also dont wanna risk it dying under one of those rocks and decomposing :(

Any advise would be appreciated

Thanks

Paul

Not sounding good, is she bloatd up, anything to go on as she darkened in colour.

The best thing maybe to do is separate for a while and see if he brightens up a bit.
Thanks

Its gone :(

I'm very sad at my first fish loss :(

It was just too sick and it certainly seemed to be suffering so i took it out, it basicly was just stuck on its side, it was constantly gasping for air and virtually stopped moving, i couldnt see how it was ever going to improve, please tell me i've done the right thing

I wrapped it in paper and threw away, i did not know what else to do

Paul
