Sick Fish - Please Can Anyone Tell Me Whats Wrong

We have a sick fishy (sorry but cannot remember the name of this one). We have just noticed today that it has some sort of growth under its mouth. It looks like whatever it is has burst and there is this white "fluff" coming out of it.

I have posted attached pics to help identify the fish and maybe what this is (Im sorry about the quality but its the best I can do). (Im not sure how to add pics, so not sure if they will shop up!! So if anyone can help then perhaps I can email them to you).

Sounds like mouth fungus columnaris, can you post water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, how many gallons is the tank, plus fish which type and how many.

Yes I think it is columnaris, I have just seen some pics of the disease. He has since died, just taken him out of the tank atnd the fish was a Gourmi (not sure if that is spelt right). Have just done a 30% water change. The water readings were all ok when last checked. Nitrate and Nitrite 0, Ammonia 0.25, so dont really know what has caused it.

Have cleaned gravel with suction thingy when doing the water change.

We have 2 male guppies
5 neon tetra
5 glowlight tetra
3 silver tipped tetra

We have a fairly big tank, I cant remember how many gallons and partner is out so cant ask him!!

How can we stop other fish catching it?

I would try and get the ammonia reading down with a water change again later, good luck, sorry about the fish that died. R.I.P.
Just water changes for a couple of days, just keep a sharp eye on the other fish.
