Hi. My female beta is not acting normal. She's at the bottom of the tank pulsing her gills and not swimming. Her body is pale! Her eyes are closed but she flutters occasionally. I can't tell what's wrong, what should I check for or do? Should I euthanize?
The thread won't accept my video to upload. Only a photo.
Thanks.

Hi!
How large is the tank?
How often do you do water changes?
What are the parameters for the tank?
How long has this tank been set up?

Yes, this information will be so helpful in figuring out what's wrong!

Check the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day until we figure out what is going on.

Clean the filter if it hasn't been done in the last 2 weeks. However, if the filter is less than 6 weeks old, do not clean it. Wash the filter materials/ media in a bucket of tank water and re-use them. Tip the bucket of dirty water on the garden/ lawn.
