Sick Clown Loach

My friends tank has a clown loach that is ill, please take a look at the pics below.

I'm hoping it isn't the untreatable illness. However could do with an identification of what is wrong with this little fella.

That's a very poorly fish. Apart from the tail problems, the stomach seems to be rather sunken. Might be a parasite but I can't offer anymore than my empathy. Hopefully others will be more use.

I had similar on my clowns, when i 1st started keeping fish. Looks a little like fungus. I rember treating them for fungus, and fin rot. But they never made it. As i say, it happened a few times when my tank was new. In the 1st 6 months.

Without knowing much about the tank its kept in, the fish its kept with or the water readings of the tank, your not going to get much valuable feedback.
